Background
Madisonville Ford is a Ford dealership on Interstate 45 in Madisonville, Texas, serving Madison County and the I-45 corridor between Houston and Dallas. The store came to Savvy Dealer in April 2026 as a full launch: a new Savvy Dealer website, Google Vehicle Listing Ads, Facebook inventory ads, monthly SEO content, and the Anti-Dashboard for reporting, all starting the same week. Google search ads were added August 1. The new site and its tracking went live in the last days of April, so reporting starts at launch and this study compares the first full month on the new site with the fourth. Nothing in the numbers below was carried over from a prior vendor's reporting.
The Challenge
A dealership website launching in a new market position has one job in its first quarter: get Google to index it, rank its inventory and model pages, and stop depending on paid traffic to fill the funnel. Most dealer sites spend their first months after a launch living on paid clicks while organic slowly catches up, because templated platforms give Google very little to rank beyond the homepage. Madisonville Ford needed the organic channel to carry its share from the start, in a corridor where the larger Ford stores toward Houston and Bryan-College Station already owned the model and 'near me' searches.
What We Changed
Launch on the Savvy Dealer Platform
SEO-engineered URL architecture, model research pages, vehicle schema and a sub-1.5-second mobile render path from day one, so Google had a full site to crawl the week it went live
Model Pages Built to Rank
F-150, Super Duty, Mustang and Expedition pages with real content, not autofed OEM copy. Within 90 days the F-150 model page was the third most visited organic landing page on the site, behind only the homepage and used inventory
Paid Media as the Bridge
Google Vehicle Listing Ads and Facebook inventory ads carried the first weeks while organic indexed, then held steady while organic grew past them
Full Conversion Tracking at Launch
Form starts, VDP views, calls and lead events tracked from the first day, with every channel reported side by side in the Anti-Dashboard
Before & After
The Impact
Madisonville Ford's organic search sessions grew every month after launch: 2,756 in May, 3,357 in June, 3,944 in July and 4,686 in August, a 70% increase from the first full month to the fourth. In August, organic passed paid search to become the site's largest traffic channel, while paid search held flat at 4,179 to 4,394 sessions. Total sessions grew 33% over the same window, from 14,098 to 18,763, and shopping depth grew faster than traffic: VDP views rose 47% to 14,172 and form starts rose 72% to 928. The organic landing-page mix shows the platform doing the work. Over June through August, the F-150 model page earned 492 organic landings, the Super Duty F-250 page 307, the Mustang page 136 and the Expedition page 119, alongside the used and new inventory pages. Those are model-research searches from shoppers who had never heard of the store, captured by pages that did not exist in April.
The Bottom Line
The first months after a site launch are the clearest look at what a platform does on its own, before years of accumulated content and links blur the picture. Madisonville Ford's organic channel grew every month and became the largest channel on the site inside four months, on pages Google could crawl and rank the week they were published. The paid media did its job as the bridge. The platform did its job as the destination.
“Madisonville Ford's new site went live in late April. By August, organic search was the largest channel on the site, model pages were ranking for shoppers who had never heard of the store, and VDP views and form starts were growing faster than traffic. Four months on the new platform, measured from the day it launched.”
Launch Analysis
First Four Months Post-Launch
Madisonville Ford
Key Takeaways
Organic passed paid search by month four while paid search stayed flat, so the growth was organic doing more, not paid doing less
Model pages earn conquest traffic. F-150, Super Duty, Mustang and Expedition pages were pulling organic shoppers inside 90 days, and those shoppers were not searching for the store by name
Shopping depth grew faster than traffic: VDP views up 47% and form starts up 72% against sessions up 33%. The visitors organic brings are further down the funnel
Launch everything at once. Website, VLAs, Facebook, SEO content and tracking on the same week means the paid bridge carries the store while organic indexes, and there is no gap to fill later
